Kanye West talks about serving God during visit with Osteen

Rapper Kanye West told parishioners at Joel Osteen's Houston megachurch on Sunday that his recent spiritual awakening has made him realize he's no longer in the service to fame and money but "in service to God." West spoke to a packed crowd of about 16,000 people at Lakewood Church's 11 a.m. service during an interview with Osteen from the stage. West told the parishioners about his recent conversion to Christianity and how God has been guiding him.

Cowboys get huge day from Prescott, beat Lions 35-27

Dak Prescott and the assortment of playmakers surrounding him are getting praise for giving the Dallas Cowboys the NFL's top-ranked offense. Give the big guys up front their due, too. Prescott took advantage of a comfortable pocket as he threw for 444 yards and three touchdowns, lifting the Cowboys to a 35-27 win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Texas family warns of dangers at indoor trampoline parks

On the first day of summer vacation in 2013, 16-year-old Max Menchaca and his friends decided to spend part of their day at a Houston-area indoor trampoline park. When the day was over, Max was in a local hospital being treated for a traumatic brain injury that could have killed him. Max's injury was just one of thousands of serious injuries that have happened at indoor trampoline parks. As the industry has exploded in popularity in recent years so have visits to emergency rooms for everything from broken legs to broken necks.

Local Aggies reflect on 20th anniversary of bonfire tragedy

It was a tragic accident that took the lives of 12 young Aggie students. Monday marks the 20th anniversary of the collapse of the bonfire as it was being constructed on the Texas A&M campus. Two decades later, the memories of that moment are still vivid for many students who were on campus at the time.

Family fears missing mother's case may go unsolved

The family and coworkers of a mother who has been missing for four months gathered Sunday in honor of her 31st birthday. The celebration took place at St. Francis Nursing Home, where Cecilia Huertas Gallegos worked right up until she disappeared. Gallegos was last seen Sunday, July 7, on home surveillance video entering her home on Southwick Road, but she was never seen leaving.
