On Jan. 13, police and federal law enforcement agents were attempting to arrest Randall Goodale at a home in the 4400 block of Stetson View on a federal felony warrant for felon in possession of a handgun, SAPD Chief William McManus previously said on the day of the incident. ‘I just wanted him to fight’: Mother describes last moments with son at Ventura bar The family of Robert Martinez, 21, continues to grieve after he was shot and killed at Ventura bar on Sunday night. Martinez’s mother, Mary Contreras, was there the night of the shooting and remembered finding her son. “I grabbed him, put him in my arms and I just wanted him to fight,” Contreras said. Martinez was an aspiring rapper who was performing on stage that night. Contreras said after her son’s performance, she heard gunshots. “It happened so fast. By the time I even got back to my son, he was taking his last breaths,” she said. Man breaks into courthouse, gets stuck trying to get out, deputies say A local man was arrested after he broke into the county courthouse overnight and then got stuck while attempting to get out, the Bexar County Sheriff’s office said Thursday. The incident occurred just after 12:30 a.m. at the courthouse downtown. According to deputies, the man in his 40s smashed the front door to get in and then damaged a door to a judge’s chambers, but was eventually seen by housekeeping. Deputies said the man made it to the second floor of the building and tried to exit through a window, but was stopped by chicken wire and San Antonio police officers. Longs Creek Elementary Assistant Principal Bryan Silvia was caught on camera Wednesday morning helping fifth-grade student Miguel Rivera tie his tie before a field trip to the Genius Wax Museum. “This isn’t just a job for me. It’s a calling. I want to do more than help kids with school… it’s also about being there for them, teaching them life skills they may not learn anywhere else,” Silvia said. Thursday begins with Dense Fog Advisory and mist until sun comes out KSAT Meteorologist Mike Osterhage said temperatures are on the mild side, but that there’s plenty of fog and mist. There’s a Dense Fog Advisory for most of the viewing area until 9 a.m. Skies will eventually clear today and it will be sunny in the upper 60s. The weather will be great again tomorrow. A shower is possible late Saturday, and then it will be sunnier on Sunday, Osterhage said.
