"He was very strong, very strong, and yet, he was very kind and very gentle," said Joe Garza, Greg's father and the retired administrator for the Bexar County Commissioners Court. Garza said his son found firefighting as his calling and was a San Antonio firefighter for the past 17 years. SAPD: Man's vehicle stolen at gunpoint in parking lot of pizzeria San Antonio police are searching for two suspects who stole a man's vehicle at gunpoint on the city's North Side late Wednesday night. The incident occurred just after 10 p.m. in the parking lot of the Little Italy Restaurant & Pizzeria in the 11700 block of West Avenue, not far from Blanco Road. House Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings dead at 68 Rep. Elijiah Cummings of Maryland died Thursday morning at age 68, according to his office. He died of "complications concerning longstanding health challenges," his office said in a statement. The Democratic congressman has represented Maryland's 7th Congressional District since 1996 and served as the chairman of the House Oversight and Reform Committee.
