Good morning from the GMSA anchor desk. We are certainly are in the dog days of summer. While the heat has been scorching, we didn’t hit 100 degrees yesterday -- yay! David Sears just got a new AC system, great time of year to do that. Unfortunately for him it doesn’t work! The good news, the company is going to replace it. The bad news, not until next week. Poor David. Oh well, he has decided, it is what it is! I’m grateful my AC is working fine. Stay cool, San Antonio! Today's Headlines 5-year-old boy found living in home with meth lab during narcotics raid in NE Bexar County Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputies have arrested two people in their 30s after a methamphetamine lab and several weapons were discovered in a historic home in northeast Bexar County. Deputies found a 5-year-old boy living in the home with the meth lab inside, along with the chemicals to produce the drug. They also recovered several weapons, including a high-powered sniper rifle. Blood drive to be held Thursday at two SA locations to honor victims of El Paso shooting An blood drive will be held at two San Antonio locations on Thursday to honor the 22 victims killed in the El Paso shooting. Mujeres Hispanas Por Mejor Justicia will be holding the drive from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Walmart at 1603 Vance Jackson and at The Junction Antiques at 1704 Blanco Road. They need blood types O, B+, B- and platelets for anyone who can donate to help victims. Bicyclist on highway hit, killed by vehicle, police say A bicyclist on the highway was hit and killed by a vehicle late Wednesday night, San Antonio police said. The crash occurred just after 9:30 p.m. on Highway 151. According to police, the bicyclist, a man in his late 20s or early 30s, was struck while in the main lanes of the highway.
