Three males and one female, ranging in ages from 17 to 41, were shot just before 9 p.m. Dec. 18 at the mall. San Antonio police Sgt. Michelle Ramos said officers with the Street Crimes Unit detained Jonangel Cervantes and Markees Fanning, both 17, on the South Side. Both are charged with four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Former Madison HS football star killed in shooting in San Antonio The victim of a fatal shooting early Monday on the Northeast Side has been identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office as 19-year-old Aydin Hoffman. Hoffman is a former standout football player at Madison High School who signed to play with West Texas A&M University. He was on Christmas break from his freshman year in college. Man shot while attempting to sell firearm, police say A man in his 30s is in critical condition after being shot while attempting to sell a gun overnight, San Antonio police said Tuesday. The shooting was reported just after 1 a.m. in the 800 block of Thompson Place, not far from Frio City Road on the city’s Southwest Side. According to police, the man was shot in the neck and head while attempting to sell the small firearm. By New Year’s Day, there will be better chances of rain in the forecast as an approaching low pressure system gets closer to South Texas.
