The shooting was reported just before 2 a.m. at the Hearthstone Apartments in the 8800 block of Cinnamon Creek, not far from Fredericksburg Road. According to police, a resident heard noise in the parking lot outside his apartment and then walked outside to find a man deceased. Funeral services Tuesday for SAISD officer killed outside restaurant San Antonio Independent School District Officer Cliff Martinez, who was hit and killed by two suspects in a car while working off-duty as a security guard at an IHOP, will have his funeral services on Tuesday morning. Martinez was killed Dec. 21 after a fight inside the Southeast Side IHOP escalated outside. He was assaulted by the two men before they both got into a vehicle and ran him over on purpose, according to SAPD. Cibolo police remind residents to report crimes to law enforcement, not social media Cibolo police are reminding residents about the importance of reporting a crime as soon as it happens after they learned through social media about an alleged kidnapping that occurred last month. “Somebody saw the social media video, and then they messaged our Facebook page and let us know and we opened an investigation from there,” said Officer Matt Schima, public information officer with the department. The video was of a concerned father who spoke out against sex trafficking after he said he learned his daughter was nearly kidnapped in front of the Walmart located at 602 Cibolo Valley Drive.
