Outdoor Furniture No outdoor furniture including tables, chairs and display cabinets, can be placed on Council footpaths until social restrictions are further eased, and Council permits. This will ensure there are no obstructions on Council’s footpath that may prevent the community from maintaining safe social distancing. Beauty and Personal Care On 31 May 2020 the Victorian Government released guidelines to support Beauty and Personal Care businesses to safely resume operations from 1 June. Cafes, Restaurants and Pubs to reopen The Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has announced that cafes, restaurants and pubs offering dine in can now host up to 20 patrons at a time within enclosed spaces from 1 June. Alfrieda St Civic Plaza Works to create the new plaza in Alfrieda Street, St Albans, continue with paving works starting this week. All electrical, drainage, irrigation and structural soil installation are now complete. Powercor will be working on the substation during the night in line with the scheduled outage.
Update on works in St Albans Square The upgrade of St Albans Square is nearing completion with some planting works remaining. The art installation to existing garden bed walls commenced this week and the fairy light installation is due to begin next week.
