Gold medal boosts spirits at Columbia Craft Brewing Co.

The downtown brewery claimed first place at a national competition and is ramping up construction on renovations paused by the pandemic. Patio improvements are slated to be completed by the first of the year, while a rooftop bar is on track to completed by March 1.

Initial unemployment claims drop in S.C., rise nationally

For the week ending Nov. 14, state claims fell by 126 from the previous week to 3,501. Nationally, initial claims increased by 31,000 to 742,200. Greenville County saw a state-high 363 claims.

Building once housing nuclear reactor controls demolished

Fluor-led Savannah River Nuclear Solutions finished the demolition of a building at the Savannah River Site that once contained the control system for rods housed in five nuclear reactor vessels during the Cold War.
