Unbound at ABtS

Unbound continues in arch two here at Atelier Beside the Sea. Don't miss the chance to come and see this brilliant exhibition of works by four contemporary artists and makers.

We're delighted to debut Silvia K's new work; a series of striking platters and vessels made with inlayed clay and coloured slips. Join Silvia for the afternoon next Saturday, 24th June, and create your own inlay platter here in our arches on Brighton Beach. No ceramics experience necessary and just a couple of places remaining. Also featuring in Unbound are paintings and collages by Hove-based artist Christina Fedyk. Imposing in scale and minimal in composition, these epic abstracts are wonderfully absorbing.

Sitting particularly happily alongside Christina's collages are the post-modern-inspired ceramic sculptures of Bronwen Grieves. Part botanical, part Brutalist, and brilliantly executed.

You'd better be quick of you want to pick up one of Leslie Bisseker's textile collages. Created with intricate arrangements of vintage Japanese fabrics, there are just two yet to sell.

Bekky May

Bekky May's nesting series of ceramics is the latest expression of her exploration of Biophilic Art.

The Biophilia Effect relates to our primal human instinct for a connection with the natural world. With a studio tucked away on a Sussex farm surrounded by rolling hills and woodlands, combined with a background in horticulture, Bekky is in the perfect position to channel her muse.
