For those of you who have been getting this newsletter for more than a few months, you probably remember its former author, Justin L. Mack. Back in January, we said goodbye to our former wealthtech reporter as he took off on another adventure.
But his legacy here lives on.
This week, we found out that Justin is a finalist for two major industry awards — an Azbee, from the American Society of Business Publication Editors, and a Jesse H. Neal Award, from the Software & Information Industry Association.
For the Azbee, Justin is a finalist in the technology and innovation reporting category for work covering the emergence of ChatGPT in wealth management, spending in fintech and the abstract world of the metaverse. Those stories and others were part of Justin's nomination for best range of work for a single author for the Neal Awards.
Soon, we'll change authors of this newsletter again as we welcome a new tech reporter later this month. For now, I hope you'll join me in sending good vibes — as he'd say himself — to Justin for these honors.
