Hi John,
I recently gathered a simple assortment of materials: shaving cream, paint, white glue, paper, and paper cups.
My older child was intrigued and asked to join in.
Of course! (Secret mission achieved). So we mixed up a batch of puffy paint with these humble supplies and found ourselves joyfully finger painting for a good hour.
My little one came home a little later, saw our creations, wanted in, so we made fresh batches of paint in totally new colors. Another hour of focus passed with new ideas emerging.
It was so fun and relaxing, and I was energized by their questions and focus.
Let me just add that I now have big kids, but we've been doing projects like this since they were in preschool and they always deliver.
Are you done wondering if your child will actually enjoy the project you spent so much time setting up?
Wouldn’t it be fun to dive into things like…
