Good morning, Marketer, may your favorite flavors never sell out.

How does the (third-party) cookie crumble? Well, if you’re Google, the answer is slowly. The internet giant is delaying plans to eliminate the trackers from Chrome, the planet’s most widely used web browser. If this sounds familiar, that’s because it is.

Thirteen months ago the company moved the deadline from late 2022 to a “phased roll-out” sometime in 2023. That move reflected a desire to “move at a responsible pace.” Given pressure from the EU and possibly the US, it’s likely that cookies will eventually go extinct.
