Google has begun a trial of its experimental new technology for ad targeting known as Federated Learning of Cohorts, selecting a random set of users without notifying them, according to digital rights organisation Electronic Frontier Foundation.

Security company Bitglass's latest Remote Workforce Security Report found a majority of organisations still have at least three-quarters of their employees working remotely.
