TechCrunch | Google announced that starting now, it is moving all of its G Suite users who follow its recommended schedule from its Hangouts video chat service to Hangouts Meet, the more enterprise-ready version of Hangouts. The move will likely take about a month or so. This means all newly created Calendar invites will now link to Meet video meetings, though Google stresses that all previously created meetings won’t be affected by this.

Infosecurity Magazine | The threat of malicious insiders is one that Coca-Cola knows all too well now that it has had to disclose a breach after a former employee was discovered to have stolen a hard drive. According to Cyware, Coca-Cola suffered a data breach in September 2017 in which the personal data of 8,000 employees was compromised after a former employer at one of its subsidiaries stole an external hard drive.

ZDNet | iOS 11.4 is out, and it brings with it a number of new features, along with the usual bug fixes and improvements. The three new features are AirPlay 2, HomePod stereo pair, and Messages in iCloud.

BleepingComputer | You can't make this up. The company behind Ghostery, a privacy-focused browser and an ad-blocking browser extension, has apologized for a technical error that occurred when its staff was sending out GDPR-themed notification emails that exposed the addresses of other users. The incident isn't as bad as it sounds, as only email addresses were exposed. It's more funny than an actual security breach. Still, it's ironic because it was a GDPR email campaign that broke GDPR rules. (facepalm)

G Suite Updates | In March 2017, Google announced Hangouts Meet, the next generation in enterprise video meetings. After continued positive feedback from their customers who have begun using Meet, starting May 29th, they’ll enable Hangouts Meet for all G Suite domains that are automatically upgrading on Google’s recommended schedule. This means that all newly created Google Calendar events will contain Meet video meeting details. Previously created meetings will not be impacted with this change.
