BY VICKI FERSTEL | Staff writer Louisiana’s Mike Johnson, R-Benton, and Steve Scalise, the Jefferson Parish Republican, made the rounds of the Sunday morning national TV news shows in advance of the GOP national convention starting today. Johnson, the Speaker of the House, and Scalise, the House Majority Whip, were among those calling for calm in the wake of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
