The futuristic Icebreaker keyboard looks more like an art piece

Preorders have just started for the device

The Icebreaker comes with a unique design and a high price — $1,600, to be precise. It's constructed from a single block of 6061 aluminum, and the keycaps — also aluminum — include hundreds of micro-perforations that allow the LED backlight of the keyboard to shine through, Digital Trends reported.

While The Icebreaker might resemble a piece of art, it comes with the specs of a decent mechanical keyboard. These include a 65% layout, a metal rotary dial, and support for hot-swappable switches. It also works wirelessly over Bluetooth with a built-in 4,000mAh battery, or wired via USB-C ...

This IMAX Enhanced setup creates a more cinematic experience at home for the holidays

Maybe you’ll have a lot of downtime for the holidays, maybe you won’t. But I’m willing to bet that when you do have time to sit down, pick your feet up, and relax, you’ll be watching some movies and shows. Perhaps by yourself, or perhaps with your family. Whatever the case, the best way to watch anything like that is through a more cinematic experience. You know exactly what I’m talking about. Booming bass, realistic visuals, immersive sensory events — everything that makes you feel like you’re there in the middle of the action ...

An Apple insider says a new iPad is coming in spring 2025

Apple didn't release a new base model iPad in 2024, but there's growing expectation that a refresh will take place soon

Apple hasn’t updated the standard iPad in nearly three years, but a recent MacRumors report claims the tech giant is planning to release a refreshed model alongside the iPhone SE 4 this coming spring.

This follows a report from prominent Apple tipster Mark Gurman, who said the new tablet is expected to support Apple Intelligence, bringing it in line with all of the updated iPads that arrived in 2024. If true, the 11th-generation iPad will likely have a newer A-series chip and at least 8GB of RAM. The current iPad is Apple’s least expensive tablet, starting at $349 ...

You Asked: soundbar space woes and best big TV bets

You asked Digital Trends: What if your soundbar blocks the bottom of your TV? What’s the best big TV for $5,000? What’s the best-sounding bedroom TV for dialogue?

Peter from Prague is looking to upgrade his TV and has noticed that most stands don’t leave much clearance between the bottom of the TV and whatever it sits on. What are his options? Well, his best bet is to go with a VESA mount pedestal stand, but keep in mind that the larger the TV, the less clearance you'll get from the bottom of the pedestal.

Pavan from California’s Bay Area asked about the biggest and best TV available for $5,000. The answer, as you might imagine, is rather nuanced. For all of the important details on these and other questions, check out the full article or watch the video above ...

This minimalist puzzle game could be 2025’s Tetris

Faraway succeeds in capturing the flow state of Tetris in a minimalist puzzle game all its own

Faraway is the latest game by Steph Thirion, the creator of 2009 puzzle classic Eliss. Faraway will launch for PC in 2025 and is another retro arcade game set in the trippy reaches of a digitized outer space. The title already has all the makings of a simple cult hit.

The gameplay involves guiding a shooting star through space and creating constellations with it, making it essentially a one-button game. After previewing Faraway, Digital Trends described it as “the kind of arcade puzzler that you can pick up and learn in an instant, but one that rewards players who naturally unravel its depth” ...
