It’s getting close to Halloween. I know for many people, this is their favorite holiday of the year! While I’m not one for scary movies or haunted houses, I love costumes, decorating and taking my nieces trick-or-treating.

I’ve recently been staying with a friend in Massachusetts, and I got the opportunity to go to Salem and see some of the sites of the Salem Witch Trials. I’ve been fascinated with the history of witch hunts lately, and this trip gave me a little inspiration for my costume this year. 🤔

Here's why Gov. Spencer Cox wants Utah classrooms to be cellphone-free

Gov. Spencer Cox gave a press conference on Monday saying that while he appreciates how much social media has helped people connect, he believes young peoples' mental health is taking a hit.

In a presentation, he stated that it’s time for the state and federal government to curtail social media companies' abilities to reach minors. He also encouraged schools to get cell phones out of the classroom and parents to set healthy boundaries with digital devices.

Sen. Mike Lee, Evan McMullin don’t hold back in heated Senate debate

In one of the most competitive statewide races in years, Sen. Mike Lee and challenger Evan McMullin relied on the deflections and attacks they’ve used throughout their campaigns. Throughout the exchange, McMullin railed into Lee over his “egregious” efforts to keep Donald Trump in office while Lee responded by demanding an apology saying there wasn’t a “scintilla” of evidence to support his claims.

The substance of the debate primarily focused on how each candidate would would approach the job differently than their opponent on various subjects including abortion, foreign policy, student loans and inflation.
