| | Big shift poppin' Hey Baltimore. If you get this before heading to Equitech Tuesdays at Guilford Hall tonight, come say hey. Below, you'll see a new story about Gov. Wes Moore's visit to Towson University last Friday. It was the first of a recurring set of cabinet meetings that the governor and other state leaders plan to host at sites across the state. It also represents what amounts to a sort of shift in how I've seen governors approach their jobs in my lifetime; while I could be wrong (and tell me if I am!), Moore is the first Maryland governor I've ever seen highlight economic development in the state with this kind of "road show" that includes multiple other cabinet members. Speaking of shifts, you'll also see another piece below in which a tech recruiting firm director discusses how to best update your resume. In a time of mass layoffs and attendant job transitions — including for some prominent leaders in Baltimore's tech and entrepreneurship worlds that I've noted over the past few months — this piece offers a useful reminder of how to best prepare yourself when bigger change is afoot. Are you looking to move jobs? Sharpening your resume in case a layoff comes through? Hoping that Moore holds his next cabinet meeting at your workplace — and maybe stops a mass layoff from happening?
