Governor issues 'stay home or work' order

Gov. Henry McMaster issued a mandatory “stay home or work” order and laid out stricter social distancing requirements for businesses that he said are necessary due to mounting COVID-19 cases and continued noncompliance. The order is effective today at 5 p.m. 

MUSC temporarily lays off 900 employees

The Medical University of South Carolina is temporarily laying off 900 employees across all of its hospitals and clinics in response to the financial pressure that COVID-19 has placed on the health care system, according to a news release.

Caldwell starts Ashbury Hills, old chamber building projects

Caldwell Constructors announced they will launch projects at the Asbury Hills Camp, Bannister Wyatt & Stalvey Law Firm and Burdette Central. Projects include renovations to the former Greenville Chamber offices and a nationally-recognized historic building in Simpsonville.
