The Family Farmer and Rancher Tax Fairness Act of 2023 was introduced this past week; however, the same bill was introduced in the Senate earlier this year. The bill would make many USDA payments to farmers tax-free, similar to the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan forgiveness.
