Convenience retailers in Scotland can apply to the Scottish Grocers Federation Go Local funding programme to help maximise the range of Scottish products they offer to customers.

This Scottish Government-supported fund helps retailers create long-term, dedicated display space in their stores for locally sourced Scottish products.

Fife Businesses Urged to Apply for Fife Town Centre Building Improvement Grant 

Fife Council has launched its Town Centre Building Improvement Grant and is encouraging small businesses and commercial property owners to apply for a small grant to help improve or develop their property within one of Fife’s key town centres or other local centre boundaries. 
 

Grant awards will be made in the range of £6,000 up to a maximum of £10,000 per eligible property. The intervention rate is 90 per cent of eligible costs, excluding VAT.

Coronavirus Guidance on a Phased Return to Offices 

The Scottish Government has published guidance to help employers plan for a phased and limited return to offices in Level 0 of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Update to Self-Employment Income Support Scheme 

If you're a self-employed individual or a member of a partnership and have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, you can apply for a taxable grant through the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS).

If you’re eligible based on your tax returns, HMRC will contact you in mid-July to give you a date that you can make your claim from. It will be given to you either by email, text message, letter or within the online service.

£10 million for Local and National Projects

Projects that restore nature, safeguard wildlife and tackle the causes of biodiversity loss and climate change will get a share of £10 million through a new Scottish Government fund.

The Nature Restoration Fund will support a mix of urban and rural-focused projects, such as improving greenspace for outdoor learning, green active travel routes, planting of wildlife corridors and natural flood management.
