• Successfully push the Senate to confirm Anna Gomez to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), after 960 days of agency deadlock
• Shine a light on how lawmakers are helping conservative media conglomerates like Sinclair destroy local news
• Urge those same lawmakers to abandon problematic legislation for better options — like a publicly funded nonprofit modeled on the New Jersey Civic Information Consortium, which we helped create
• Protect online privacy by advocating for the passage of the Fourth Amendment Is Not For Sale Act in Congress
• Organize for media reparations through Media 2070’s award-winning Black in the Newsroom documentary, a college course and the Black Future Newsstand art exhibit
• Combat online hate and disinformation by monitoring all of the major social-media platforms, holding tech CEOs accountable and scoring two major legal victories in the federal courts

And that’s just scratching the surface. And oh, did we mention it’s Free Press’ 20th anniversary?!
