| Featured Resource Holidays are fun, but the extra events can be stressful. This book is filled with ideas for families to invest time wisely and build faith in kids. Topics include showing forgiveness, making your home a hub of faith, connecting with adults in your faith community, and intergenerational interaction. "Sticky faith" refers to faith that sticks with kids and youth as they grow up. The term was coined by Dr. Kara Powell and her colleagues in their extensive research at the Fuller Youth Institute. This inspiring, practical guide is on sale at Cokesbury. |

Christians Engaged in Faith Formation (CEF) Brian McLaren, a keynote speaker at the "Curious Church" CEF conference, described how he saw God's grace shine through staff and volunteers at Camp Able at St. Columba in Memphis, TN. It's a summer camp for people with disabilities or "diverse-abilities." McLaren said love is experienced when we share the simple gifts of patience, really listening, not counting the times it takes to try again, and being interested in what your friend finds interesting. Let's apply those principles in our lives and ministry contexts - and see the joy that God will bring! Read more about McLaren's idea of the church as "studios of love" inthis article by Tim Tanton at UM News. |
