Dear freind,

It is especially touching to see how many people stepped in since we launched the campaign to help Vera in her battle with dangerous heart disease. Hundreds of people stepped in and got involved with their supportive letters, words of encouragement, and financial contributions.

The campaign is making strides, which is really exciting. We are now almost 3-quarters to achieving our goal (roughly 70% in funding). Though it is phenomenal progress, we still need to cover the surgery costs in full and some travel expenses. We are reaching out to you, our dear supporters - if you have not yet donated, we would appreciate your help so Vera will no longer have to fight this painful battle and come out victorious.

If you are not familiar, when Vera was born, she was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect, a rare and dangerous disease. After undergoing complex surgery as a baby, her condition stabilized, which comforted her family at the time.

Recently, a routine checkup revealed that Vera developed an aneurysm of the right ventricle in her heart. Now she needs emergency heart surgery, without which the aneurysm would rupture, and she would not survive. Such sophisticated medical procedures are not performed in Ukraine, so Vera was approved for an operation at the Israeli Sheba hospital, known to have one of the best cardiology departments in the world. We need your support to reach our goal and help Vera undergo surgery to save her life.

Thank you again for your support. It really means the world to us, and of course to Vera and her family.
