United Way launches Greenwood, Abbeville data base

United Way of Greenwood and Abbeville counties has launched a new database called Greenwood Counts including population health data, demographics and zip-code-based socio-economic maps for public use.

Initial employment claims drop for 2nd consecutive week

Initial employment claims filed in S.C. dropped by 218 for the week ending Oct. 10 from the previous week. The 4,884 claims were down from 5,102, representing the second straight week of claim decreases as reported by the S.C. Department of Employment and Workforce.
