Get an empty bottle, preferrably a spray bottle, and add white vinegar in it with 2 teaspoons of vanilla and 2 tablespoons of alcohol. Keep it by your bed and spray every hour. If you need to do it more often, do that. You will see they will stay away.

Making a pie from scratch might seem daunting, but it is so worth the effort! When I worked in a bakery at an upscale grocery store, they would feature pies that looked good, yet they came straight out of the freezer. Take the time and love to make a fresh, homemade pie and I swear, the flavor just cannot compare.

Butterflies Are Free (Spicebush Swallowtail)

I wanted to share this photo of a butterfly with a pretty hot pink crepe myrtle flower. The butterfly is a spicebush swallowtail. The photo was taken very quickly as these butterflies do not light on anything very long; they are fluttering on by.

Wax for Waterproof Leather Shoes

To waterproof your shoes rub a good coating of wax over the leather shoe (I used a candle) then heat the wax with a hairdryer for about a minute on high or until it turns clear. I gently rubbed it in with my finger once it became clear.
