First, I'd like to wish you a happy New Year! It's been a wild start for the stock market, so I'm getting in touch today to share my latest thoughts on the market gyrations.

I know the recent action has been unsettling, but the foundation of the stock market remains quite healthy. You may remember yesterday that the market gapped down and then a lot of buying pressure emerged. Simply put, the smart money is coming in to rescue the market. We saw it happen yesterday and then again today.

There are several reasons behind the increased volatility, and we'll talk about all of them in today's Special Market Podcast. The bottom line is that the market is grossly oversold, but considering the S&P 500's dividend yield, it should catch itself soon. So, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
