October 11, 2024

Good morning. How do you cultivate positivity in an information ecosystem where pessimism seems to reign supreme? The influential graphic designer Stefan Sagmeister shares some ideas, and reflects on our tendency to distort the past, on the fitting occasion of his retrospective at the School of Visual Arts in an interview with Editor-in-Chief Hrag Vartanian today.

In the news, the Guerrilla Girls issue a new poster calling on voters to support Kamala Harris in order to secure women’s rights, and Charli XCX (who, uh, played her new album at the Storm King Art Center yesterday?!) reveals the thrifty reasons behind her iconic bright-green cover art.

And from all of us at Hyperallergic, thank you to everyone who made our 15th anniversary party an unforgettable night — from our incredible performers CoCo, DiDi Opulence, Amygdala, Kekoa Is, Felicia Oh, Kanika, and Junior Mintt; brilliant emcee Zac Thompson; and DJ Pillow Princess to those of you who bought a ticket, sent us good vibes, or just read us on the regular. It means the world.
