Good evening,

Good evening,

Guzman y Gomez is preparing to join the IPO brigade.

The fast-growing burritos and tacos chain has hired bankers and lawyers to prepare it for the ASX boards and wants to be ready to front equity investors next year.

Guzman y Gomez is a home-grown success story, with 125 Australian stores in its network and more than a dozen offshore. It has big plans to significantly increase its footprint in Australia, and is expected to make a rollout-led growth pitch to potential investors.

Elsewhere in IPOs, youth clothing retailer Universal Store has secured a $290 million market listing in a confidential ‘‘club’’ deal.

Clubs deals are all the rage – we look at how they work, why they’re in vogue and who else is using them.

And finally, we delve back into Lion’s up-for-sale dairy portfolio, and see which regulator is poking its nose in this time.

Happy reading,
