Data centres operator Equinix is planning to open 12 new data centres and expand 23 of its existing IBX data centres this year — including opening its fourth in Melbourne and eighth in Sydney — as part of an expected US$1.730 billion to US$1.920 billion capital expenditure program for 2019.
