Business Matters: Protecting your business from tax risk | Sarah Scala, from Claritas Tax, says earlier this year Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced that the government had committed to investing £100m in what they named the Taxpayer Protection Taskforce, staffed by over 1,250 HMRC officers. The taskforce was designed to target those who had abused the Covid -19 related support schemes and in last month's Budget the Chancellor confirmed a further £55m of funding has been allocated to the Taskforce for 2022.
