To the Class of 2020 – We are so proud of you. To me, Summer Orange by American artist Joan Snyder in our first floor galleries, has always been about celebration. Though we can’t be together to celebrate in person, I hope your Commencement is a day of joy, pride and reflection. On your graduation and beyond, I wish you all the courage to color outside the lines, the strength to see possibility in what we cannot control, and, always, to find generosity, joy and creativity in all that you do. Congratulations on your graduation, and thank you for allowing us to be part of your Harvard journey. – Erin Northington, Assistant Director of Student Programs and Campus Initiatives __________________________________________________ Congratulations to Student Board members Daniel Rosenblatt and Yong Han Poh, and Ho Family Student Guide Gavin Moulton, who have each been awarded the 2020 Thomas Temple Hoopes Prize in recognition of their excellent undergraduate work. We're so proud of you! __________________________________________________ From Our Friends... The Harvard Ceramics Program, in collaboration with the Harvard Art Museums, will offer a virtual four-class course this summer. Free to all Harvard undergraduates, the course aims to help participants gain a deeper understanding of historic ceramic objects from across the globe. Learn more here. The Harvard Gazette recently reviewed the physical and virtual art installation, Windows of Harvard. If you're not able to visit the exhibition in person, check out the online gallery of works. |
