The Jewish Coalition for Religious Liberty and the Islam and Religious Freedom Action Team of the Religious Freedom Institute have filed a legal brief expressing concern about a Michigan law that might be used to force Christian Healthcare Centers, Inc., to hire people outside of their faith. CHC filed suit against Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel and other officials in 2022 partially in response to a Michigan Supreme Court ruling that determined the state's ban on discrimination includes sexual orientation. Pastor Brian E. Bartlett Sr. of Lake Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Tennessee died in a one-vehicle automobile accident on Saturday. Bartlett is remembered as a beloved community member who loved his church, with Pastor Reginald Boyce Sr. of Riverside Missionary Baptist Church of Memphis telling Action News 5 that Bartlett was "someone that was real, someone that was authentic." International House of Prayer Kansas City founder Mike Bickle has stepped away from public ministry in response to an investigation over allegations of sexual misconduct made by multiple women. A founding member, former executive leadership team member, and former pastor of Forerunner Church said in a statement that they confronted ministry leaders with credible allegations that span "several decades." They also accused Bickle of trying to intimidate, manipulate and discredit his victims. Read more.
