Former Bangor priest to be star witness in Hampden man’s murder trial

• A former Bangor priest who was the spiritual adviser to a Hampden woman allegedly slain by her brother-in-law is expected to testify at the brother-in-law’s trial. But the contents of the victim’s diary that the priest urged her to keep most likely won’t be introduced as evidence.

Maine students can soon visit Mars at Bangor’s Challenger Learning Center

• The Challenger Learning Center of Maine in Bangor has just finished $200,000 in upgrades that will allow school groups that use the center to participate in the newest mission, “Expedition Mars,” in which students will simulate a space mission to Mars’ moon Phobos to collect data on the presence of water and life on the Red Planet.
