Voornaam, This week, the United States Postal Service celebrated its 246th birthday! The past year has emphasized just how critical the USPS is to our democracy. Despite meddling and cuts from Trump's hand-picked postmaster general, and in the midst of a pandemic, the dedicated postal workers at the USPS did everything in their power to ensure mail-in ballots were delivered in a timely manner.
Oregon Democrats know and understand how important the U.S. Postal Service is. As the first state in the nation to adopt universal vote-by-mail, the USPS has been a critical partner in making our elections some of the most accessible and secure in the country. What's more, as one of the nation's largest employers of veterans and people of color, the USPS provides an important opportunity for many Americans to earn a middle-class living, while keeping America connected, supplied, and safe. The U.S. Postal Service is truly an agency worth celebrating and worth fighting for. Add your name to celebrate 246 years of the USPS and to protect it for years to come. Thank you, â Oregon Democrats
