Happy Fourth of July! Everywhere around the U.S. people were firing up the grill and getting ready for fireworks and Wall Street took a well-deserved break. The markets were closed today for Independence Day, giving all of us traders and investors a chance to step away from the charts and spend time with family. It sure did feel nice. It's pretty fitting when you think about it—the same independence we're celebrating today is what gave us the free market system that lets us all chase our financial dreams. Whether you're a seasoned investor or just starting to build your portfolio, today's a good reminder that the opportunities we have in American markets didn't happen by accident. The NYSE and Nasdaq will be back open Monday, July 7th, but for now, let's enjoy the holiday. After all, there's more to life than watching those red and green numbers all day. Have a great Fourth of July! |
