Happy Father's Day to all the adventure dads out there! We salute you for sharing your love for the outdoors with your families. Our dads gave us a passion for nature and wild places at a young age, and it's had a profound impact on our lives.

Staff Writer, Heather Eldridge, is hitting the trail as we speak. She's backpacking the first 100 miles of the Continental Divide Trail southbound through Glacier NP with her PCT thru-hiker alumni. She'll be testing a plethora of gear along the way and will undoubtedly have a lot to report back on at the end of the month.

We love having space for our toes to spread naturally and we like our shoes to be on the looser side rather than tight, so the Trailventures work well for even the most narrow-footed members of our team.

Aside from the relaxed fit, the Trailventure boots are also very light - weighing less than a pound each. 

The Trailventure 2 is similar to the popular Altra Lone Peak ALL-WTHR Mid 2, but there are a few key differences. The Trailventures are a bit more cushioned in the sole and the cuff, and have a slight heel-to-toe drop (5mm).

In our eyes, the Trailventures have the slight edge because they’re less expensive, and they take less getting used to than a minimal, zero-drop boot like the Lone Peaks.
