Here while I was sitting inside the room getting my monthly treatment I met a member of the CANSA Pretoria support group. She invited me to join the group for the monthly meetings. In April I joined the group and I am so happy I joined. I met the most loving and caring group of ladies that really encouraged me and made me feel welcome and right at home from the start, even though I am the youngest member. Even now that I am in remission for almost a year and getting Mabthera treatment every 3rd month I still join the group monthly when possible. Being part of the group helped me to understand the emotional, psychological and physical aspects of cancer better and made me realise we are not alone in this fight. We lift each other's arms up high when we feel weak. Whether we are sick at home or in hospital. Someone cares and is praying for me today.” Annamarie Wilke: "This Facebook group is a great support!" Thamsanqa Ngubeni: “Thank you CANSA for taking care of my sister during her treatment in Durban Umbilo."
