Although many in the western hemisphere think of Argentina when they think of Malbec, it actually originated in France and is one of the six red Bordeaux varieties.
We have a small amount of Malbec that we grow at Desert Wind Vineyard and聽we are lucky enough to make a varietal wine from it. Malbec isn't very common in Washington - most people believe Malbec shows聽best in cooler, higher elevation climates (like聽Argentina). When it's done right however, Washington Malbec can truly be something聽special!
Our 2018 Malbec has a deep concentration of dark fruit on the nose and palate and a lovely floral element.聽This wine has been a聽crowd pleaser in the tasting room - we can't wait for you to try it!
