Den of thievesThe Saints intercepted three passes in their season-opening win against the Tennessee Titans. That's almost half the total they had all of last season (7). Luke Johnson reports that the Saints "are hopeful this is a sign of things to come, that last season's dreadful showing in the takeaway department was a blip in the radar." Comings and goingsOn a busy day of transactions, the Saints placed defensive end Payton Turner on the injured reserve list and made a handful of other roster moves in preparation for the Panthers game. 'Freakin' run'Derek Carr's debut as the New Orleans Saints quarterback was a victory over the Tennessee Titans, and NFL Films was there to provide behind-the-scenes footage.
