Dearest Readers,
I got a few emails after my moon-titled newsletter asking, rightfully, "WHERE IS THE MOON CONTENT??" I confess: There were no Easter Eggs. I underestimated the level of enthusiasm that you all have for the moon, which was a huge rookie mistake (that's a sports term, right?) on my part.
To make it up to you, here are some fun moon facts:Okay, so you may have heard that we're, like, doing a membership drive? I take back all the mean thoughts I had during early-morning commutes to campus when I just wanted to listen to NPR in peace. The Rumpus needs your support. As of Noon ET today we have 84 Members and hope to get to 500 by the end of June!
Next Thursday will be the last free weekly newsletter! After that, we'll be on a biweekly—that's every-other week—basis. Of course, if you'd like to keep hearing from me every week there's always the membership newsletter, which I definitely haven't already mentioned.
Till next week, ASps. our Publisher, Alyson Sinclair is doing an AMA on The Rumpus's Instagram today. She's answering ?s about the magazine and Membership. Ask yours if you have them! Stay tuned for AMAs with our Fiction team (June 7), Interviews team (June 14), and Essays team (June 21). |
As of yesterday, we are open for ~*two*~ types of essay submissions:- Our regular reading period, June 1 - August 31
- On the theme of disability in education, June 1 - June 30
