Egg Prices Are Now Up 70%, But Have Prices Peaked?
 
From the high of over $5 a dozen, egg prices have dropped to the $3 range, and could drop further as inventory continues to rise. The test will be the Easter season, but it’s important not to count those eggs until they are hatched. John Phipps provides his take.
 
 

After $273,000 in crop losses across nine years, Missouri farmer Gary Kempker has drawn a line in the sand: Compensation is due. Referring to his monetary and soil losses as a “bureaucratic disaster,” Kempker is at wit’s end, and places blame and financial accountability on federal and state agencies.
