Police investigate new suspect in disappearance of Lake Macquarie teenagers
Could a wealthy businessman who lives on the Gold Coast but travels interstate be responsible for the disappearance of two teens 40 years ago?
Robyn Hickie, 18, was last seen at Belmont in April 1979. Two weeks later 14-year-old Amanda Robinson disappeared from Swansea.
There has long been speculation the teens were murdered by notorious backpacker killer Ivan Milat, but police are now focusing their investigations on a new suspect.

Terrifying ordeal for Hunter boy trapped in bus luggage hold
It wasn't quite the school trip he was expecting when 8-year-old Isaac Gilchrist became trapped in the luggage hold of a bus for more than 30 minutes, in heatwave conditions.

We're glad we weren't anywhere near this!
David Diehm captured this amazing shot of two bolts of lightning hitting the sand at Bar Beach on Monday night.
It's probably a good reminder of why we need to stay under cover during storms!

Risk protocols not followed, inquest into nursing home death hears
A dementia clinician has hit out at a lack of qualified staff capable of dealing with dementia patients in the aged care sector, during an inquest into the death of a man at a Newcastle nursing home.
Neville Clutton died nearly two weeks after suffering a catastrophic head injury when he was pushed over by his roommate, who has severe dementia, at the SummitCare Nursing Home in Wallsend in 2017.
A three-day inquest heard the roommate was becoming increasingly aggressive and territorial which, an expert said, should have been "ringing warning bells".

Virtual technology teaches nursing students
Newcatle University is using a virtual training tool that simulates confrontation between patients and visitors to train students.
It follows an incident last year in which a nurse was stabbed by a knife-wielding patient at a New South Wales hospital, in an incident unions say could have cost a life.
'Angry Stan' is an abusive virtual hospital visitor that teaches future nurses how to identify volatile patients and try to deal with them before they resort to violence.
