Drug testing gets complicated with remote staff

The pandemic has made employee drug tests more difficult to monitor, and several states voted to legalize marijuana, which could further complicate testing. Some employers have turned to self-administered drug tests that are sent to a lab or watched an oral test being taken via video.

Employment improves on seasonal, rehiring trends

Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows the US labor market recovering slightly in October, adding 638,000 jobs and reducing unemployment to 6.9%. Economists attributed the improvement to an increase in hiring for seasonal positions and rehiring in the automobile and manufacturing industries.

Balancing Yourself
Studies have found that eating foods such as blueberries, carrots and dark chocolate has a positive effect on mental well-being. Walnuts were associated with reduced depression in a 2019 study while other research found that fermented foods such as kimchi helped reduce social anxiety.
