Good morning, Marketer, where do you want to go?

Our 2022 MarTech Salary and Career Survey is out and it’s got a lot of good news. For one thing, salaries are higher – with the median salary being $125,576. For another, people are leveraging their skills and experience to get better jobs: 81% of managers and staff were either promoted or switched jobs in the last two years. It also looks at job satisfaction, responsibilities and technology.

But wait, as they say on TV, there’s more!

In the next few days we’re going to be running deep dives on the results and a series of interviews with martech-ers about their careers and where they think martech is headed.

Quote of the Day

“When you think about pay equity, you think about salaries, but I think about female led companies and, as a black female, the challenge of finding just somebody who will champion me as a business leader trying to grow my business. It has been pretty near impossible. Got lots of cheerleaders, don’t get me wrong. Lots of people standing on the sidelines, hoping I’ll win, but to find somebody who gets in the game to help me win? This is the difference between a lot of women in business and their male counterparts.” – Dr. Lauren Tucker, CEO and founder of Do What Matters, an inclusion management consultancy.
