Some of the fresh foods available at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and Mission Community Market hold a special place in our region’s history, culture, and cuisine. For the few foods featured in Slow Foods’ Ark of Taste directory of heritage crops, you may only be able to source them directly from a local farmer. Ferry Plaza Farmers Market: Featured Vendors

On Thursdays, CoolRolls Ice Cream is popping up with Building Equity partner En2Action. Visit mother-and-son team Jeromy and Leslie for rolled ice cream.

On their farm in Brentwood, Rick and Kristie Knoll are harvesting a bumper crop of figs. Visit their stand on Saturday for Adriatic figs at $6 per pound.

Mission Community Market: Featured Vendors

Visit Tory Farms in the Mission on Thursday and at the Ferry Plaza on Saturday for unique stone fruit varieties like Rose Bright nectarines.

Visit Brokaw Ranch Company in the Mission on Thursdays and at the Ferry Plaza on Saturdays for Eureka lemons, plus more citrus and subtropical fruit.
