Susann Sills was found dead from an apparent fall at her California home in 2016. Her husband, Scott, who said it was a tragic accident, was supported by sympathetic neighbors and his mother-in-law while continuing to raise their twins.

Evidence found at the house made investigators suspect there was more to her death than he suggested. It took a year before the cause of death was confirmed and even longer for her family to find justice.
