Managing work-related stress for public services webinar

20 March 2024, 2.00pm

HSE will be presenting a free, hour-long, knowledge-sharing webinar on managing and controlling work-related stress focused on public services.

The NHS, social care, criminal justice, education, and neighbourhood services are widely recognised as reporting high levels of ill-health due to work-related stress, depression or anxiety. Employers have a legal duty to protect workers from stress at work by doing a risk assessment and acting on it.

In the webinar you will hear from experts about the HSE stress Management Standards, how to approach a stress risk assessment, resources and how the HSE Stress Indicator Tool could help your organisation.

The latest benchmarking data and case studies will be also shared. There will be a live question and answer at the end where you can ask our panel of experts any questions you may have.

The duty to manage asbestos – are you responsible?

HSE’s 'Asbestos – Your Duty' campaign targets those responsible for managing asbestos in buildings (dutyholders).

To support dutyholders, we recently updated our webpages for the duty to manage asbestos in buildings. This includes guidance on:

  • what the legal duty is, and the steps required to comply with the law
  • who the dutyholder is, depending on the type of building etc, and what they must do
  • new templates of an asbestos management plan and an asbestos register with a site plan
  • examples of how asbestos can be managed across different industries

The campaign provides dutyholders with a range of resources. You can:
