A year after a Harrington incident, few hospitals have implemented enhanced security

Nearly a year after a Harrington Hospital nurse was stabbed, Harrington and UMass are among the few hospitals in the state to have shored up security, particularly in screening people who enter emergency rooms.

Bradley Switzer has joined Reliant Medical Group’s department of hematology and oncology. Switzer completed his internship, residency and fellowship at UMass Medical School, where he was most recently the medical director of the multidisciplinary hepatocellular cancer program and associate director of the hematology and oncology fellowship program. He is serving patients at the Saint Vincent Cancer and Wellness Center.
