This breakfast trifle uses muesli, a healthier lower sugar and fat alternative to granola. To save time during the week, prepare 2 to 3 jars with lids and store in the fridge for a quick breakfast. Any type of unsalted seeds will work in this recipe, including sesame and sunflower.
Easy natural muesli (muesli only for leftovers) Combine 2 cups old-fashioned (rolled) oats, 1¼ cup dried apple (chopped), 20 hazelnuts or an equal amount of other nuts (roughly chopped), ¼ cup shredded unsweetened coconut, and 1 tbsp. chia seeds.
